Our History

Established in June 2012 'Lime' is a boutique firm of accountants providing general accountancy services to owner managed businesses, primarily professional services firms, law firms, IT contractors and those operating in the creative industries (actors, artists, designers). In addition the firm specialises in forensic accounting and expert witness services.

In respect of Forensic Accounting, we are regularly instructed to investigate disputes between companies, individuals, insurance claims, fraud, matrimonial matters and business valuations, amongst other matters. We have particular expertise in fraud matters acting on behalf of defendants at any stage of proceedings but especially in relation to the Proceeds of Crime Act.

Our expert knowledge in dealing with owner-managed businesses and our credibility is key to providing evidence for court. We regularly work on Legal Aid funded cases and will provide advice and guidance to any potential client.

We often undertake Due Diligence assignments for the acquisition or disposal of businesses, share valuations, viability reports in respect of start-up businesses or existing businesses requriing additional funding or refinance.

In addition to forensic and due diligence work, we handle a portfolio of accountancy and tax clients, we manage the accounts and audit requirements of numerous Law firms throughout the UK as well as professional service companies and creative individuals including artists, actors, designers and IT contractors. We are registered auditors and provide all forms of tax, VAT, payroll, accounts, company formation and business advice.

We obtain new clients purely through referrals and as a result have a close business relationship with all our clients, providing expert advice in a down to earth manner.

Andrew Blosse BSc FCCA

Having qualified in 2005 as a Chartered Certified Accountant I soon become Partner Designate at one of the fastest growing accountancy firm in the East Midlands. With a background in owner managed business I specialised in advising firms and managing their accountancy and audit needs, with a growing portfolio of law firms throughout the UK.

My technical expertise and ability to deal with complex and difficult assignments led to my appointment as Forensic Director at a Top 25 UK Accountancy firm, an area that covered civil disputes as well as criminal proceedings and Proceeds of Crime work. I provided expert evidence to Court on numerous occasions and established a loyal following.

In September 2010 I set up a niche accountancy practice with 2 fellow partners in Leicester City Centre, focusing predominantly on law firms and forensic accounting whilst my fellow partners provided general accountancy services and tax planning schemes.

Having established a close personal network, in June 2012 I set up my own practice in order that I could focus on my existing and new clients, and that of my specialist experience.

I am a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accounts (FCCA) and am a registered auditor, I have membership with a number of professional bodies and groups relevant to my work.

I have previously been treasurer of a local charity and I am Treasurer at a local school PA. I enjoy sports, particularly racket sports including tennis and Royal Tennis, which I previously played to a international standard. Mountain biking and road biking are currently my main sporting interests which I try to participate in when family commitments allow!
